Selections to represent HDKI GB are made from those attending and training on the HDKI GB National Squad sessions. The Squad is currently preparing for the 5th HDKI (Ireland) Open Shotokan Karate Championships, May 2023 and WUKF World Championships, July 2023. 

If you are unable to attend a National Squad training session you must advise one of the National Squad Coaches.

The National Squad is open to HDKI members, aged 8 years and above, minimum grade 6th kyu. 

Anyone wishing to attend National Squad Training must have their Instructor’s permission to attend and must hold a valid HDKI Licence.

We encourage anyone who has an interest in competing, and meets the eligibility criteria, to attend the National Squad training sessions.
